WSAT Community History

[WSAT] was born in or around January 2002. Through a process of thoughts half concentrating on watching the 'Band of Brothers' box set and half concentrating on his bottle of Jack D's. Nutter heard Moose from the 101st say our motto was [WE STAND ALONE TOGETHER] Nutter thought to himself whats the acronim and hence Since that day WSAT has grown and grown with its roots based in the online game “Day of Defeat”, it then moved to “Day of Defeat Source”. It was at this point were the Clan began to change, but not just the clan, the online gaming community as a whole.

People began playing more and more games, rather than a select few favorites. Soon on the WSAT Team Speak server new channels started appearing for games other than Day of Defeat... Company of Heroes, Left 4 Dead, Counter-Strike, Team Fortress 2, Navy Field... [WSAT] had evolved.

No longer is WSAT just a Clan, its members now see it as a Gaming Community. Which brings us to early 2009 and the York Clan Meet - It was here that the motion of the Clan being altered into a Gaming Community was first properly addressed, face to face over a pint, or 10. From there the motion was put into action and what you see before you is the result.

WSAT is now a gaming community still filled with the open minded, forward thinking people led by [wsat]Seal and [wsat]Ripper We all enjoy the comradeship and the friendship that belonging to [wsat] brings.
